I am new here. My husband, of over 30 yrs, is serving federal time for possession of CP. I am coping but I have depended on him for years and I do not enjoy being a grown up. Except for 2 or 3 people, our family and friends have not deserted us. I know I am truly fortunate but I still cry for him, for our life as it was and for what it will become.

Hi shs76 welcome to the club no one wants to belong to. I am glad you have a family and friend support system. But, I know how important he is to you. Being a grown up is a trap really.

Hi, I am glad you found this group. There are many people here with great information and advice. Support from family and friends is wonderful and you are very lucky to have it. However, nothing compares to the comfort from someone that has been where you are and that is what you will find here.

I think I can safely state that everyone here has cried for their loved one so you are in good company. Cry when you need to cry and find joy wherever you can. Come here anytime, day or night, and someone will respond to you. You are not alone.

Welcome. You could not have found a better place to come too. I know you really wish that you did not have to come here but since you do you could I'm am just letting you know that you have found the most helpful people who are here for you day or night. Whether it is to ask questions even if you feel they are silly or to just ramble on about nothing or most importanly if you need to just VENT because we have all been there and currently some of us still are but we have learned how to cope with it a little better so once again I say hello. Dont worry we will all get through this because whether you know it or not you are not alone it is good to have family but just know we are your friends who will be there as long as you let us ok.
