Welcome, pathleader! I know the depression and sadness are very real and very debilitating. The only way out of this nightmare is through it. So just take it one day at a time and don't expect yourself to be all brave and strong all at once. Easy does it...as they say in the 12-steps program. (((HUGS)))

Welcome, and don't think your depression is a sign of weakness. I have endured a lot in my life, but when Hub was arrested, my world turned upside down and became depressed and had to start meds to help me cope (never needed it before). This crime hurts more because even after he is out, he will always carry a label (unless we get these laws changed).

Welcome to the group iam sorry that you had to find us. I think you right to tell the young ones that its good advice.

This is one of the largest 'crimes' of our time. With people labeled a sex offender who actually did hurt children to others who were accused because of spitefulness from an X, to others like my son who accidentally downloaded child porn he never even watched. Our 'community' of families in this position is growing at such a rapid pace that in a few years everyone will have a family member or friend who is on the list. I can only hope that we can then fight back. It's a witch hunt and the government is using it to fill the prisons. With pot close to being legal they need to find other crimes and fill the spaces, making money on our incarcerated loved ones. It's crazy and it will either blow up in our governments face someday or we'll have a large population of 'lesser citizens' such as the SOs. It's part of every culture. There needs to be the pee ons.. but we'll fight this. Welcome to this support group. We've all been where you are and sometimes we take a trip back there now and then.

Welcome, I hope you find lots of support here. We have all experienced losses and had our worlds turned upside down.

thankyou everybody Iam sorry I am not the only one going through this. However their is strength if we all work together maybe just maybe we can get something to change .

Pathleader, I have found comfort in this community. I, too, have no one to talk to but a counselor who's familiar with this territory. All of these people, while carrying different burdens, share the same longing for wholeness and healing that you have, that I have. I hope you will stay with us and let us help carry your load too.

Pathleader, welcome to the group. This is an exceptional group for support, although like all support groups there will be rockier times. Please do not be alarmed about my recent post as I have been trying to clean things up out here as the talk here became far to confrontational and berating to offer any support at all.

I can tell you that the folks here will offer support to you and tell you where you can find local groups if you would like to become active in changing things. But here, it is for your emotional support. This board is the only one we have been able to find that is exclusively about support both through those times when you want to just die and those times when you are so angry at your son for the situation (even if it wasn't his fault) you want to disown him just so you can get a little peace in your life. We understand here as we have all been through it in some form or another. It is a process, like all things emotional.

If you haven't had a chance to read the rules, here they are for your convenience...

1. No flaming, veiled insults, digs, or threats, if you wouldn't say it to your child or grandmother then there has to be a better way to say what ever it is you are trying to convey. If this rule is not followed there may be no warning but immediate bannishment.

2. No posting things for sale. This is a support site, if there are documents to read that are free and informative post away, but if it is only a link to a place to purchase something with only a teaser to read it does not belong on a support forum and will be immediately removed, no explanation necessary from any Admin on here. I will set up an article in the News section for listing of items for sale, but the item must be submitted to an Admin or myself the Owner/Founder.

3. No Advocate planning or organizing on the board. Announcements from the various groups through out the country are welcomed, as the information will help those in those locales that are members of our board. If it goes beyond announcing the event/s, such as making plans on what to do or attempting to organize people here, the thread will be deleted in its entirety, including the announcement.

4. These rules are subject to change without notice or warning.

5. Any and all questions, suggestions, opinions, and conclusions can be directed to the Admins or myself, Wisconsinrsol.
