Just a little message of hope for every one in similar situations...
Earlier this week we had a brief first home visit with a PO from our county. A PO who actually treats my guy like a human and didn't make me feel like I couldn't be involved or couldn't ask questions. A PO who has returned calls same day we leave them and texts us back if we have a question at night.
That was enough to make me start breathing a little easier this week. On top of that, my guy got a job today. A little more than minimum wage and at a really good place. It CAN be done. It's not much, but it's something, and that's a start. I feel 1,000 pounds lighter and want to cry because I'm so happy.
I know the situation we've all been thrown in isn't the greatest, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but together, we can all do this. :-)

Thank you for your words of encouragement. My son still has 4+ years to serve yet and sometimes when he's down he thinks something will happen to keep him longer. Also because of all the obstacles on the outside, he thinks he's better off inside. It breaks my heart to hear him say these things. The next time I talk to him, I'll tell him your story.
