The hypocrisy is so heart breaking. Doesn't anyone else notice that we are hearing about these cases and hearing these scare mongering media stories every single day ... ? Why can't the general public start to realize that there is something very wrong here!

There is much hypocracy within the church. Many who believe that one sin is worse than another.
Those who lie about shorting you are not helping you. We are here to support you - no matter what his conviction was for, guilty or innocent - we know the hurts caused by this and hurts inflicted by other's prejudices.

I cannot believe that the wife of your deacon acted so badly. They are supposed to be Godly people! I am so sorry. People that judge need to be careful. It may happen to them. Not that I wish this on people, but that is just horrible. Shame on her.

I know heartbroken they should act better, it gives all a bad name when they don't. I don't want to sound like i am against all christians. but i was hurt. i have not been back to that church since that happened. I do have a friend who is being baptised this sunday and would love to go for her, but..... seeing how the preacher is so liking that article on my facebook, well it showed he liked it when he viewed it. but anyways, I can't expect them to understand completely how it feels to be in our situation. But i just don't see any compassion from any of them now, I just not sure i can go sunday even for my friend. I can not sit there and hear that Preacher and That Deacon who leads choir and his wife sings in it. i just can't and i do forgive her for being so rude to me. i am sure she does not understand it completely she has not walked in our shoes. but...... well i don't know just confused and hurting worried about my son. wanting to serve God but don't know where i can go. anyone got any advice? and if you pray , pray for us please. and thanks for the encouragement of all my friends here.

I know that there are a lot of people here that are staunch church goers and I don't want to offend them at all... I am Pagan/Wiccan solitary practioner as I rather despise mainstream religions for the mere fact that their design was to suppress and control the masses. Such as how many children are born and what is 'morality'

I have heard that the less conventional, more modern churches that are not as 'strict' in the way they do business might be something to look into. Just because one parish/congregation is not welcoming or has their hang ups, doesn't mean that another one does. One of those human things.

Which is why I chose the religion I did, because I walk outside, I am in my church.

I understand where your coming from wisconsin, I know in whom i believed and all so i am looking for a new church family. Just feeling really disappointed at the moment

I will tell you this. I go to a non denominal church. They have been very compassionate and wonderful. My Pastor opens his life to us as he knows he is not perfect either. And you know babybb24, I would go and hold my head up high. We all sin. We are in a fallen world. I would walk in there and give the biggest smile and just be yourself. Be there for your friend if you can. I tell people about my son having SO on him and I don't care what people think because I Love My Son and I am not going to let people make me feel bad. If that deacon's wife wants to be ugly, that is her deal, but me, I would just charm her with kindness. You have nothing to be afraid or ashamed of because she is a fake. Be PROUD and don't let someone like her hurt you. You are hurting enough!

What's sad is that our criminal justice system is basically advertising for a job they can't afford to pay professionals for. Instead you get vigilantes and "volunteers" who don't understand what this application is implying. I don't see a majority of Americans using this app, just the delusional crazies. The pursuit of actual child predators is much more difficult than just throwing someone with possession of cp into prison. So in order to cut costs they open it up to the public like they're doing us all a favor. Idiocracy.

I am praying God leads me to do what i should and the strength to do it. somedays i just don't know how i will make it another day. or where we will live when he gets out. i sure don't need any of Gods people makeing things worse. just very sad all of it.
