I hope some time later this year you and I can talk about what I am doing to fight back. I believe your story would add to whatt I am doing. Email me at lifegonewrong@live.com
This is not true. It was written into Ca. law, (Jessica's Law) however, it can not be enforced. Once they have completed probation or parole, the ankle unit comes off. I sent you a private message.
If anyone has questions regarding California, I suggest that you visit California's Reform Sex Offender Laws website. http://californiarsol.org, or send me a message.
We have spoken before. It's been a long time since I have been on this site. Too busy fighting...I flew to Sacramento in January and lobbied our assemblymen. We met with every Democrat. (The Republicans wouldn't meet with us)
. I attended the CCOSO conference in San Diego in May of this year. Janice Bellucci, an attorney, and the President of CARSOL was allowed to be a guest speaker, and she did an amazing job.
I attended the RSOL meeting in Los Angeles on June 16th. We are making progress.
There will be law suits filed in California. I know that everyone has fear. Everyone wants to protect their loved ones, but we all need to STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT about the damage these laws are causing to the family members of registered citizens. This just adds to the stress of the registrants themselves.
Every one of us needs to get involved, do our share. For to do nothing, nothing will ever change.
They can shower, but not submerge in water, so no swimming. And our son has not worn shorts in three years.
(his choice, out of embarrassment) The braclets are tempermental, and can break or come of.
Our son will have his removed in three weeks, Thank God. Hopefully, your husband won't have his very long.
I hope that you are kidding. GPS is horrible, I agree. But, your suggestion isn't funny or helpful.
It was manageable, but I don't know what I would do if he was on house arrest for a lifetime. The bracelet was really secondary to him being stuck at home. I would NOT remove it with a hacksaw, because then your chances of revocation go from oneofthem's statistic of 90% straight to a HUNDRED percent. We've heard stories, the cops don't take kindly to fooling around with the bracelet.
