My RSO and I are getting married this summer. We have been best friends for the better part of 10 years and together for almost 5. I have been 'one of the guys' my entire life. Oldest granddaughter, all uncles, ect.... So, I have never been able to understand the 'emotional' side to things. My RSO over the last couple of months has been distant and a couple of weeks ago he texts me (after a minor arguement) that he needs some time to thing about where his life is going.  After many hours of texting (because he won't answer the phone) it comes out that there is something that he needs to tell me about himself before we are officially married. At this point, I am FREAKING OUT inside. All scenarios run through my head at this point. He opens up to me....and I am pretty open about it all (nothing like reoffending or anything even close to that), but something that I don't know of I am comfortable sharing quite yet. He is always so private about everything, and for good reason, but I really don't know who else to talk to.... I want to support him, but I need time to adjust. All I asked was that he never lies to be about it and he gives me some time to get used to this certian thing, because it caught me off guard. He is such a 'manly man'.... don't get me wrong, I don't and will never judge him for this (I even went shopping with him), just need timeto adjust. He got rid of anything old, made a deal of telling me, then I was looking for his papers today well really for a coat he told me they were in (because I had this crazy dream that he was late on reg. and here its a class 2 felony) and I find things that he has been lying about. Now, he's been diverting me from his room for days (we do not live together) so Im pissed at the moment. I head back to my house, after not finding the coat and sending him a text, and find the coat with his papers in it...along with more things he 'forgot to tell me about"...I am pissed. Why lie?? I have NEVER judged him on ANYTHING EVER!! I am the one person on the face of this earth that will have his back, and has had his back, until the day I die....I just don't understand. Maybe I never will. Sorry. Just really getting harder and harder every day with him pushing me away unless we are face to face, then he's all fun and games. Its nothing to be ashamed of, ESPECIALLY this day and age. I knew years ago, but never said anything. I don't get it.....
