I just didn't say anything and my husband and I signed a lease with someone who didn't do a background check as part of the application. That is also very hard to find unfortunately so it wasn't so easy either but I know another person who did it that way.

Just curious, I know how stressful that is. Just work on your credit and get your life settled and think about buying a house instead of renting. It will make you life so much easier. Taking at least the landlord out of the picture can really simplify things.

This will be the first time I have ever heard of an SO wanting to move TO Florida.. You do know Florida has a reputation of being KOO-KOO about sex offender hysteria , right? They once tried to make them live under a bridge..homeless...and people there thought it was an excellent idea.

Any advice on where to look in the Tampa area? There is someone that recently pleaded in a case looking for a place because he can't return home. Right now he is stuck seedy hotel.
