Facebook has a rule against hate groups. Does this one fall under those rules?

I would avoid her at all costs because you are describing a dangerous type of personality that will stop at nothing to win. A person that feels no shame or lacks compassion of any type is the most dangerous type of person to a RSO and his/her friends and family. She will do exactly what you fear the most and thrives off that fear. Sadism is often a characteristic of this type of person and some circles call such people.... Sadist, sociopaths or psychopaths. I always just recognized them as vigilantes. Two types of vigilantes exist..... Those that kill or those that have not killed yet.


Characteristics of a sociopath are as followed :

1. Sociopaths are very charming.

2. Sociopaths can be extremely manipulative and will try to con you whenever possible.

3. Sociopaths feel that they are entitled to everything.

4. Sociopaths will lie continuously to get what they want. They can even sometimes manipulate a lie detector.

5. Sociopaths have no remorse, shame or guilt.

6. Sociopaths will show love and happiness only when it serves their purpose. None of the feelings are genuine.

7. Sociopaths have no room for love in their life.

8. Sociopaths need to have excitement in their lives or live on the edge.

9. Sociopaths have lack of empathy hen their victims suffer pain that they have caused.

10. Sociopaths believe that they are all mightier than tho, there is no concern on how their behavior impacts others.

11. Sociopaths usually have a long history of juvenile delinquency as well as behavior problems.

12. Sociopaths will never take blame for anything they have done to anyone no matter if it is family or friend.

13. Sociopaths have many sexual partners and tend to act out many sexual acts.

14. Sociopaths rarely stay in one place for a long time (home/work).

15. Sociopaths will change themselves if they know it will keep them from being found out.

1. Psychopaths use superficial charm to lure their victims.

2. Psychopaths are extremely self-centered.

3. Psychopaths must always do something to keep themselves from boredom.

4. Psychopaths are very deceptive and tend to lie continuously.

5. Psychopaths show no remorse of guilt towards their victims.

6. Psychopaths are very predatory and usually will live off other people.

7. Psychopaths have many sexual partners in their lifetime.

8. Psychopaths are very impulsive with their lifestyle.

9. Psychopaths are always blaming other people for their actions.

10. Psychopaths never have a realistic view of their lives. (king of the world or from another planet)

11. Psychopaths always want psychological gratification in sexual and criminal activities.

12. Psychopaths tend to try suicide, rarely succeeding.

Depends on state and what was decided upon for probation but not rso's must stay off FB, computers, etc.
It will be interesting to see what happens in my case.

I did a quick whip round of the different FB groups and looks quite easy to join and educate these people. Others already are, with positive results, so why not help spread the word?

personally, I would contact a lawyer and see if a protection order is something you can do. If you feel that this ex is trying to drag your name along with your man's through the mud I am pretty sure there are legal options open to you. I would go that route and hopefully the ex will not be trying to stalk you. I can say that the registry does list your home and work address. I am not sure if it lists your phone numbers. From the form I had to send it that was a change of information, phone numbers and e-mail address were optional.

If this were happening to me where someone was posting nasty comments about me on FB or any other site I would be printing them out and taking them to a lawyer to talk about my legal options. I think at the least you have a good harassment case. There is no reason someone would be intentionally trying to cause you or your man any trouble. It is her loss and your gain that he left her. I would also ask your man if he knows of any mental illness or psychological condition she may have. I am not trying to defend her but that information will be very useful in dealing with her.

I would like to add that there are free legal service like volunteer lawyer project and in my state, pinetree legal services. You could call a local courthouse and ask who gives free legal advice or, look in the phonebook under lawyers.

In MD it's required to give your phone #'s and online id's but they're not put on the registry.

That is good to know. I think that in Maine where I am that is not a requirement. To be honest I am not fully sure of what all the legal requirements are. I wan never told by Probation or the local sheriff's office as to what ALL of the requirements are for sex offender in my area. When I see my PO again. I plan to ask her for a copy if the local requirements so that I have them here at my place. I do not think they require me to register my phone numbers or e-mail address. If anyone knows how I can look up online the requirements that would be very helpful. I think probation is ok, but sometimes I think she is going a bit too far to be overprotective.

duppydoozy--I think speaking to an attorney is a good start. You need to know what laws may protect you. Also, as nhawkes suggested--print everything she posts. It may come in handy if you end up having to play hard ball with this woman. I'm not suggesting that route yet, but it sounds like she's not okay, so you definitely need to do whatever you can to protect yourself.

Thanks MM for your comments. I also wanted to add that I would definitely send this woman a private message telling her to stop what she is doing as it is hurting your family and yourself. I would also print that out. I would also let the probation officer know if your man has one. They may be able to talk to her or something. The thing I am not fully certain of is that is this women just targeting her ex your man or, does she have a general hatred to offenders? I think it is kinda funny that she created groups in your area to target offenders and your man.

I also question this woman's state of mind. I wonder if she just hates all offenders and feels jilted that her ex left her.

she was molested as a child so probably, but the actual person who got off scott free, wasnt implicated in my mans case, was her boyfriend and an rso... go figure....but she created this page less than a month ago, and now these private messages?! she is up to something and it scares me. they dont print the infirmation of who the registrants live with do they? thanks everyone for the support, most definitely will be contacting lawyer. this has got me so stressed...

Again it seems that in the north east the registry rules tend to be more lax but I'm sure the terms of the probation come into play as well.

Yeah, sometimes if you have a good one the PO will tell someone like that to step off. I know when my hubby's daughter called our house to apologize for lying and all the trouble she caused, we HAD to call his PO since she initiated contact. My hubby's PO said I could talk to her, but my husband couldn't (that as fine he didn't want to) and that he (the PO) would be letting her know that a 'no contact" order works both ways and she could get into a lot of trouble.

If you have to be on the registry you want to be in the north east or the north west. More liberal, more likely to not be crazy about registration laws.
