Although we've been talking about Brother's parole and job situation on another thread, I wanted to have a new thread with a positive title. I think we all like to read positive news about our compatriots here, and sometimes there's just not enough of it.

Late yesterday Brother got two different calls for job interviews! They both know his situation, and even though he's had to dog them to get a shot, it looks like his persistence paid off. One job is for an auto parts company and the other is for an electrical wire and cable manufacturer. He is qualified for both positions--now we'll see how the interviews go. There's certainly a chance that he won't get an offer, but getting an interview is absolutely a step in the right direction.He's excited and nervous and encouraged. I found one of the jobs on Indeed Job Alert. It sends me updates about jobs in his area every week. Most of them don't fit with his restrictions, but every once in awhile there's one that can work. I'm hoping one of these positions comes through for him. That would be so dang great to have him able to work…at ANYTHING. I think being productive is vital to the human condition. So now we'll have to wait and see. Thank you all for you support and interest--I'll let you know if he gets hired anywhere. Alway wishing you the best--MM
