Day 2 feeling the pain

I have always strived to be a warrior a survivor and never a victim. And yet, I cannot stop from crying in fear of the future of my son. Regardless of what he has done. I have been a victim of false accusations, I have been a victim of poor man's justice (or rather injustice); I know that I don't have the funds to support an attorney for the entire period of pre-trial and post trial. My other children and grandchildren are not talking to me because of my protection of my son who is being accused. I am caught in the middle,and yet I feel as if I am the one that is experiencing the crime. I try to pray to pass the time hoping it will provide me with relief; it does not. One thing a friend said to me today; is "God does for us what we cannot do for ourselves". The relationship with my daughter has been toxic for years. I have not been able to set boundaries enough to stop her from treating me in the way she does, so perhaps this is the only way. I feel that she is enjoying living in the past, as a victime "Woe is me"...and yet a sadness that I feel that I have now lost both my children. My loving and beautiful son, he will always be my golden child....I will love and support him regardless. Just so sad, I know that we all must have a journey, but saddened in the way that this is affecting me. Hardly seems fair.

I am so sorry you are going through this - I wish I could tell you that the pain will go away but unfortunately I cannot tell you that. Since you are a warrior you will learn to live with it and channel it in other ways - but it will always be there. Others (even loved ones that love your son) will never really understand - ever. I know that one of the hardest things for my family members to understand (and I have been lucky and they have been supportive emotionally) is that I do not think these men and women should not have punishment for their crimes but the punishments should fit the crimes.

Just take it one step at a time Tears. Everyone here can agree, that those who love and support the accused and/or convicted are victimized by the system and by those who treat us the same as the accused/convicted SO.

We are here for you, and come here as often as you need to.

I will stand with you through this , our children are still our children no matter what they do or say . I had a conversation with my daughter once upon a time she had a collection of things I had said or done over the years .....and I simply had to apologize for learning to be a better mother on her for her brother....and that she could consider forgiving the mother I was and enjoy the mother I am today . she has two daughters now and she sees things differently today ... There is no competition here now between them with my love or attention as a prize . years and years before the two kids would finally talk to each other ...I lived to see reconciliation yeah! I give God all the credit for the good things in my life I recall when prayer did not seem to help but if your looking for a answer to a prayer i think about it as laying down stepping stones in the garden of my life ... why would I want to skip a stone ? and make it harder than it needs to be to get down the path to my better tomorrow ? So I pray every day for everyone and every thing and i live this life one day at a time like all of you but tomorrow does not hold any fear for me these days stress can only touch me and not knock me off my feet . Because I pray . . much like it is to forgive those who clearly by mans definitions do not deserve to be ...we do for our own sanity to make peace with the harm done and go on. not feeling like it comes later speaking it choosing to do it make it so feeling it can happen later. not to forgive will work on your insides like drain cleaner burning a hole in places you never intended to allow it to . have the joy of knowing you love them both and they don't have to love each other right now forgive yourself and them and make peace with today . prayer will change it all so make your deposit and wait for the sum to over flow in Gods good time .
