Clemency hearing in Tallahassee, FL

I am wondering if anyone has been through this to request your civil rights back in (you guessed it) Florida and can tell me what to expect.? My husband has been through the investigation phase and the Florida Commission on Offender Review made an unfavorable recommendation for the Governor and Cabinet.

He has great character letters form many people including THE VICTIM but they didn't look at that just what happened 25 years ago.

We are not going with council, since they only give you 5 minutes to speak. Anyone been through this?

i'm surprised no one has posted anything to this...

i know nothing of FL and i sure don't know about clemency hearings.

would be awesome tho to hear something good about this tho!

I live in FL and has been a RSO for the last 14 years. There was no actual victim in my situation - just a cop pretending to be a 14 year old girl. Last year I was threatened 2 times that I'd be killed when I least expected it. I filed a report for one of those incident b/c the guy was handing out SO flyers of me to the stores and places where I could go at lunch time before getting in my face.

I fear for my life and my family's life. Eventually, I think someone will end mine b/c there's alot of crazies out there and they will find me thanks to the registry.

I'm sorry Punished for what you and your family are going through. I fear the same with mine if/when my husband comes home.

Is there anyway you can move to a safer location? I know I will look into monitoring equipment for my home if husband is ever able to come home.

Hi - Thanks for your reply. Thankfully, I haven't had any issues at the house, it's been out and about part that could potentially be dangerous. I had a guy try running me off the road one time, I thought it was maybe he was drunk but he kept looking at me and deliberately tried to hit my car. Not until later I realized they also post Year/Make/Model and tag number on the registry - so basically they paint a target on your back.

What's your husband's story? Are they looking at releasing him? I hope so, I feel for us all. I'm also sorry for the suffering it causes you and your family.
