Very good article and great news for the people of California.

"Tobin and Fisher said the public is safer with about 260 fewer transient sex offenders who now have been able to find housing since the rule changed."

I don't know why transient sex offenders is an acceptable risk under Jessica's law. That would scare me much more as a parent then not having a 2,000 foot ban in the parks.

This is great news! Jessica's Flaw isn't what the voters expected. They thought it would increase public safety, but it actually had the opposite affect. Not only that, people were fooled into a false sense of security, believing if they lived in that buffer zone, their kids wouldn't be harmed....

Fl law is kind of like that but then local places make ordinances. Can they still do that in CA?
