Today is our 9th wedding anniversary, and the third we've spent apart. At least we get to talk this year---- CDC kept him in reception his entire sentence, which meant no phone privileges. He has an early-parole review in about 8 weeks, so maybe he can be home for a belated celebration : )

And this sounds odd, but I'm very thankful to his ex-wife, who had experienced CDC and helped me understand/vent/cry and get through it all.

Weeks, even though it will be a little late.
It's nice to have someone to help you through things like this. I didn't have anyone to help me through the CDC, but I am able to help another family as their loved one is in reception in So. Cal.

My son just went to prison last week in Oregon. What is CDC? I'm trying to figure out visits and phone calling.

Nathan, those are hilarious : )

Other than the idiocy of the original charges and the @#$@$% prosecutor, CA hasn't been too bad for him. He had no trouble inside and CA even approved his interstate compact transfer request--- TX refused to accept it. He's had two good POs and is getting grants from the state for college and has the opportunity for the early release review, which he wouldn't in TX, so it hasn't been all bad.
