I really appreciated this article, a more academic look into pedophilia.

The comments just make me sick. I just want to scream at those people, "what if everything you think you know about sex offenses is wrong? What if the policies we as a society are putting in place are making people more likely to commit and perpetuate the cycle of sexual abuse? What if the punishment we think is necessary actually creates more victims?"

But everything I would say would fall on deaf ears. It would be like trying to convince Coastie that the Republican Party isn't always right on everything. Not going to happen lol!

true, some of the comments were really ignorant and horribly hateful.

i have been getting updates on the posters and while some are still hateful that are finally others who are speaking out against the laws and the inability for people to seek and find help before they do something.

And btw echo you did a great job getting your points across.

@Terry McBride Your thought process disgust me. Not only is your ignorance mind boggling but it also proves that you are just as sick as the guy that wrote this article. Please for the sake of everyone around you get your head checked. Pedophile's can be anyone. From any race,creed, family, stranger, male, female, straight, gay. But it is absolutely wrong to throw a pedophile in the same group as LGBT community and say that they are the same. Also there has been way more straight female and male teacher's that have taken advantage of kids at schools. (Doubt me? Google it.) And that makes them a pedophile. It does not go hand in hand with being Gay. And this is coming from a straight white Christian female. And before you run with the "BIBLE" remember it's a very simple concept. God said it was our job to love EVERYONE not just pick and choose who you like. God is the ONLY JUDGE.

I'll be praying for you. That you loose some of the obvious hate and bigotry in your mind.

Here's an idea just take them out back and shoot them. There is no comparison between the gay community and a pedophile because the LGBT community is not taking advantage of little kids. This is the most disgusting article I think I have ever read. Your sympathy shouldn't lie with child abusers it should lie with the victims. Predisposition is not choosing to steal someone's innocence. Being a pedophile is not a predisposition its choosing to exert your adult power over a child who is weaker then you. That's called abuse any way you try to spin it.

Don't judge homosexuality, but kill pedophiles. Flawless logic.
