this breaks my heart , u got ministries reaching out helping people , giving them place to live , then u get society who wants them gone nd who cares where they live ,im so disgusted with how people so judgemental and hateful these days , the LORD is not pleased with al this , watch and see what the LORD thy GOD will do . , Alabama just like tenn .hypocrites!!not the ministries , the so called Christians who pass laws to hurt families . punishments !,.glad we end up going back to tenn .but it still bad here ., as stated before , my hub was turned down couple jobs , got let go couple places , church had shuned him before , do u know what their status is . SHUT DOWN !!GOD shu t them places down . even that church , we went to for yrs .until hub was charged from way past and the pastor and mnister ,had shunned my hub instead of helped to restore and have compassion forgiveness , etc.. the church was shut down ..this ministry that reached out to those in need in Alabama is blessed ,they done what the LORD would want people to do , feed the hungry , visitthose who are sick and in prison visit the widows. shelter the homeless . speaking ofhomelesss shelters herein tenn u convicted of sex offence u cant even go to HOME less shelter and good will turns u way of helping you with job help . my hub was turned down , sec 8 turns people down ,

That's beautiful what that minister did. I understand the concern of the government, but if more people helped we would be much better off.

The Alabama state represenative has been trying to shut this operation down ever since this church opened this ministry. The only way they could pass this bill was to make it just for the county that it was in . One of those you scratch my back I will scratch yours kind of bills. One of the worst examples of them doing targeting with legislation.

A couple of months ago, the City of Springfield did the same thing. City officials used a city code, though they did not cite the specific code, to claim that having 8 sex offenders violated the city code that prohibits more than 3 people who are not related to each other, from living in the same house. The house was run by a local religious organization.

What is needed is for some of the groups to get a lawyer on this selective targeting . It has got to be unlawful.. But like ususal there is no group representing the sex offenders willing to provide legal assistance. Lot of talk but no action, as usual.
