I hung out with the members during their meeting. They go around the table and introduce themselves. I told them I was a member of Florida Action Committee (FAC) and that my son is incarcerated in Federal Prison for accidentally downloading child porn thru limewire and he'll be on the sex offender list for the rest of his life . .and the response I got was welcoming and looks of horror on some of their faces. George, the main guy there. . .sorry, but I'm new at this so you're getting street talk here.
. .anyway George asked me if I wanted to talk a little bit at the end of the meeting but I told him I wasn't ready to do that yet. I don't want to run off at the mouth because I don't know when to stop. He asked me to send him my son's stuff so he could show their lawyers and I'm emailing him today with some details and what I have as far as forensics, confession, etc. It was a good feeling to have people who fight for civil rights actually extend their hand and ask to help me.

They are having a yearly meeting. It's more of a ceremony diner, etc. And it's March 31st. I actually joined the ACLU a month ago. It doesn't cost much and you can do it online. So my ticket would be $25. If you're not a member and want to join you can buy membership at the door. Non members tickets are $35.00.

It's in Deland. I'll send you the email with their info. But I would highly suggest we get some of our people there. I'll go. I want to know these people.

I'm surprised and pleased that just 1 person going to something like this could make a difference. Not that it was me, just that it was someone.
