This letter is for Mr Bruce Ferg As a citizen of the United States Of America I am shocked and appalled that you would seek to prosecute a 10 year old CHILD and to put that child on the sex offender registry and to say and sir let me quote you here My opinion is this is the best thing that could've happened to the kid..."It is not vague to say, 'If you do this kind of activity, we don't care what age you are, you are liable for prosecution.' how can you say that this is the best thing to happen to this child??? you should have no right to practice law in this country i have to ask you have you lost your mind? this is a child that does not know right from wrong.Do you have any idea what you have just done to this child? this poor child will for the rest of his life be shunned forced to move from his home be a outcast I can not believe that i once served this country this is suppose to be the land of the free all of you lawmakers and lawyers judges are suppose to adhere to the US Constitution somehow you people have managed to sidestep the constitution all of these sex offender laws are ex post facto cruel and the only way they were able to get around the constitution was because the supreme courts said that these "laws" were not punishment but regulatory in nature let me give you some examples of not "punishment" in some states you have to pay a fine to register if the fine is not paid you go to jail "punishment. you cant live next to a park school day care "punishment" you get forced from your home "punishment the police show up for a compliance check if you are not on parole or probation you do not have to let them in your house but when you tell that to the police they tell you if you have nothing to hide why wont you let us in? they badger you bully you say they will go get a warrant just for the simple fact that you are a RSO they come into your home force you to turn on your computer go through your files. the sex offender registry was made for people that were suppose to be bad can you please explain to me how you can justify putting a child on there? you should be ashamed of yourself I was willing to fight and die for the US Constitution i joined the US Marines when i was 17 years old not only have i served but my 2 older sons have served one is still in the Army now.also if you are on this list some people look on there find people on this list hunt them down and kill them.these so called laws remind me of the time when Germany stripped the Jews of their rights forced them from their homes made them live in ghettos (does the julia tuttle causeway rig a bell) then came the death camps.this country IS going down that road.Every single one of you should read the US constitution some of these people on this list have paid their debt some of them even married have not committed another crime.now their families are made to suffer their kids are bullied shunned cant play with friends parents can't come to school for plays or to watch a sporting event do you really want a 10 year old child to go through this? for the rest of his life??? really?? I am ashamed of this country there is no more Land of the free!

AWESOME!! You go Firecracker. Someone needs to open these judges and legislators eyes. They should have to walk a mile (so to speak) in the shoes of a RSO and the shoes of their family members for a period of time and their eyes would be opened. Maybe. Hopefully. My heart breaks for this childs parents.

Awesome letter Firecraker! I wish all those who put the punitive laws on the books will have to live walk a mile in the shoes they wrote them for. But sadly, that will never happen.

Good on you for your forceful letter, firecracker. I wish every legislator would watch the movie, "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas." The Nazi father was forced to walk in the shoes of the ones he persecuted.

Awesome letter! So, my question to you Firecracker would be, can I write to the DA that trampled over my son to where he is serving 7 years? He treated the hearing of revoking my son's probation into a trial that had nothing to do with him not following rules. The reason why I am asking is that I don't want someone coming to get me and then I can't be there for my son.

Great Letter! Someday these laws need to change. Part of the problem is our media. Letters like yours need to get on the air but somehow the media just publishes the worse of every story.

Great Letter..does anyone else here ever get concerned about speaking out..I don't care what strangers say or so called friends..it's my children and grandchildren I don't want to hurt.

heartbrokenparent I see no reason why you Cant write the DA in your sons case This is suppose to be America or so I was told you have a right to write letter to whomever you want as long as you don't make the letter sound like you are going to go after and or say you are gonna kill someone in your letter write the DA the judges your congressman the newspaper the media if you want it can not hurt but as you know it will be like talking to a wall.good luck! peace out and god bless

amen fire voice our selves . finnaly got reply back from senator . gotta call them . they left me phone number . i got some things that needs to voiced for our loved one s and our children our families.
