This is a heartbreaking day for many of us. (I know that I woke up in tears), but several of our sons would be abandoned if we were not there to support them. We may have been abandoned by other family members. This can be a sad day for many, but just want to let you know that I am there for you. I love and admire your strength and courage. Thanks for holding my hand during difficult times....I love you for that. I am glad that we have a place that we can share and encourage others on this path.

And back at you. On another forum I read about blue lights at Christmas for inmates and families. I'm going to get one of those candles and a blue light and hold all of the Mothers and children in OUR community in my heart today <3 Lilly

Happy mother's day to you all. I got a card from my son this morning and it made me smile even though my heart still aches. I'm grateful for this group

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!
I decided to try to focus on things that are good in my life today...so far so good.
I don't expect to hear from my son anytime soon.

Happy Mother's Day to you all. It is hard. I was hoping to get a phone call from my son today, but didn't. I know that there's always a long line for the phones in the prison he's in though, and I'm sure it's worse on days like Mother's Day. It's nice to have this group to turn to.

Hope u all managed the day OK.. I did hear from my son today.. Tho he was quiet and withdrawn.. :(.. Doesn't help either of our moods with our next court day just hours away.. Happy late mommy's day to u all

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday.
I was lucky, my son called me. It's weird, my oldest son who lives about 35 miles from me couldn't take the time to call me (I got a happy mothers day text message from him), but the one who is on the other side of the country awaiting his second sentencing, called me even though we had just talked Saturday night.

Being mom to a prisoner is not easy. But it is not impossible. It puts us in a whole other category of "mother". I love my son, in spite of what he did.

And you should deenamom! I was happy i got a call. And then yesturday got a card in the mail. Even though he is not my son i am grateful to have him in my life. I know he will never be my son in law....at least for the next 9 years. I do love him as a son. And i will support him and my daughter if they reconnect when he gets released. So happy moms day to all of you.
