Well I have been in California at my son''s trial. I was hoping to be here to be supportive for him, but they won't even let me in the courtroom, so I am limited to 2 visits at the jail /per week. First couple of days of court have been really tough. The girls have been consistent in their testimony (I feel they are being coached), and they are vague about when these happened, so it is difficult for attorney. My son said one of the jurors was crying when they heard the testimony from the girls (this can't be a good sign). One of the accusers (my grandaughter) runs and hides from me each time I see her. I see it as her lying and not wanting to face me. So I don't know. Just trying to find that peace of mind and trying to be supportive to both sides (is tough). My girlfriend of 40 years is going on the stand today and is definitely bias towards victims... So I am hoping for the best through all of this. Anyway, prayers for my son would be extremely helpful at this point. (His name is Kevin).......

Sorry Tears.... when you asked for advice i should have told you that if you are a witness you would not be allowed in the courtroom. I thought you were told that.

As for you i am so sorry you have to go through this.

This is truly out of your hands. You can not control what happens. I know you want the best.

When it comes to juries it is a crap shoot. I have sat through quite a few trials before. Just when you think you know the outcome.....it goes the other way.

All you can do is love your children and grandchildren.

I have been on both sides and my heart goes out to you. Your granddaughter may be scared for a lot of reasons. I remember being afraid no one would believe me when I was abused. When my brother was arrested for felony sexual assault, I found myself looking to discredit his accusers; a place where I had once been. I've known people wrongly accused and remember their terror at such accusations directed at them. I wish you hope and strength to survive during this very hard time. Prayers for you and your son. That sucks that you can't be in there to show your support for him. I know the feeling too, about being stuck between a son and grandchildren.
