I am new to this group. I should be doing my homework for school but instead I feel like I need some support. Some help from someone who knows what I am going through... I am 30 years old and I am the wife and daughter of sex offenders. My husband was convicted and went through all of his classes, parole, and jail all before I came into his life. He was originally supposed to only be on "the list" for 10 years but they changed the law around him and now he has to register for life. I know my husband is reformed and he is completely past the bad decision he made when he was 16. I have a 1 year old child with him and we live off of my income bc he cannot find work at a decent wage bc of his felony. It hard but I do it bc I love him and I know he is a great man. I just wish others wouldn't see him online and instantly judge him. A few years ago my father was accused of sticking his hands down a 6 year olds pants and he was railroaded into taking a plea deal and is registering for life and on probation for 5 years which he has completed 1 year of it. However, he cannot get a job and now he is facing getting his parole revoked bc he cannot pay for his weekly classes. I cannot afford to pay for his 35.00 a week classes and keep my family afloat. I go to school, I come home and I take care of my child. I barely make it as it is. What do I do? How do I keep my dad out of prison and find him a job? What do I do if my child ever gets made fun of at school bc his dad and grandpa are both sex offenders?
