Hello there and welcome to our forum. This site is such a blessing. It's hard to find support out here for people of our circumstance and this place is full of love, guidance, education and wonderful, loving, caring, kind, compassionate people. My husband is a wrongfully convicted SO and we have 22 years of history so walking away is not an option and we as the families and loved ones of SO's shouldn't be judged for our choices to stand by our loved ones and here we are not. Welcome. You will find there are plenty of people here who understand the difficulties faced and the war going on for equality of justice. We may get there one step at a time but every step taken is one more behind us in achieving the desired goal.

Hi, nice to meet you. Makes me feel really good to be able to share. I feel so helpless in this situation and want to do something. Just being able to talk to others will be a Big help and hope it will help with the burden I carry volunteerly, and by choice, because I do care. I also believe that my foster son is also wrongfully convicted and he has been in TDCJ for 101/2 yrs. He was 33 when convicted and even if he was guilty his sentencing is terribly wrong. But I feel his name convicted him, because his dad was a convicted SO in a high profile case in the same County and all the children were placed in foster homes, thats where I come in. He was guilty by name assocation, because we are a small community and many of the same prosecutors where still there, and I think thats why he was given 55 yrs, so sad and such a waste...
He refused a plea for 10 yrs. He said he wasnt guilty and would never say he was for a deal.
This all came from vindicative, (didnt want to be) exwife. Just Not Right!

Also, have you tried Texas Voices? Mary Sue runs that state group and she is a wonderful advocate for this cause! You might want to contact her and see what you can do on a state level. She is full of advice for the Texas laws as well!

Welcome! I just want to add that this group has been very helpful for me. I don't feel quite as "alone" in this as I did before. Plus I sometimes really need to vent and get others thoughts on things. Hopefully this site can be of a help to you.

Welcome! I too found the group on a search a few months back and it is nice to not be alone. Today I need the group more than ever check out my post (or all five of them since for somereason it posts mulitple times for me)

Uderstand about duplicate posts, on my First Post I think mine posted about a dozen times. Was So Embarressed!
Sorry about the difficult time you are having, but hope that you can find some comfort and understanding from this site. It is a group where we feel welcome to say whats on our heart/mind and no one goes into shock mode and feel support by being able to do so.
