i wish you the best of luck!
I do have to say though, that right person is out there. He told me about his past on our first date and I made the decision to trust him. It may take a while but it will happen, he just has to keep looking and never give up, I wish him the best of luck!
Fast forward a few years, and I've been to prison, been released, and am out on parole. I too wanted to find someone to be with, as I was lonely and felt like I needed someone in my life. When I finally finished my parole in April of 2014, online dating became an option, so I tried that. I found a few hits, but every time I brought up the issue of my past, they all just faded away and stopped talking to me. Luckily my girlfriend BioNerd gave me a chance....
My question for you is (and feel free to PM me the details, if you don't want to publicly disclose the details), what county and state is his parole through, how long was the sentence, and what was the actual conviction? I've dealt with the legal process long enough now that I may be able to offer some advice. I feel really, really bad for him, because I understand what its like to be at that age, and to be basically told that you're not allowed to interact with others your age like a normal person. Its absolutely humiliating and ruinous to your self-esteem, and I want to help in any way I can.
Best Of Luck!
He is currently working with my husband and living with my parents.. His Stay is temp., at this time, pending what the Supreme Court will rule. There a lot of court cases pending right now, the GPS, Residency, ETC.. we just have to wait.
I do get frustrated because he is my son, and I love him so much. This does not define him. He has his good days and bad days, but seems to be doing good. He has a huge family support and Gods hand upon him.
Of course it is natural to get frustrated and discourage at times but as a mom I just pray and have faith that things will get better.
I am glad you joined us.
Thank you for responding to me. I just wanted to say, Never say Never. You never know that right person may just come along. I see your point tho. just stay strong and positive. I am sure God has someone for you and for my son. That is why i have my title NoGivingUp! cause you can't, you cannot allow that to happen. I will keep you in prayer because nothing is impossible for him to do...
God Bless.
