Who did the cooking today?

Just visiting over here to say hi-hello. I hope all of you are having a great cheerful day with your loved ones. So who is doing the cooking today, and what are you having? Some of you may not be visiting this sight today, and thats understandable, wish I could say the same, but I'm not one to interfer with my daughter, and her man. I don't feel as if I belong any where. The bird is done, wheteher or not she is going to do the rest, or at what time who knows? Hope you left room for your X-Mas meal?

my step dad is cooking everything but the dev'd eggs, mashed taters, and one dessert.. I'm doing those three.. (they are my testers on the dessert).. LOL

My sister bought the turkey and stuffing and I am cooking it. I also baked two pies, made sweet potatoes, homemade buns and a salad. My daughter & her fianceis bring mashed potato and green been casarole. There will be plenty of room for the Xmas meal. Will have a little over 30 days to recoupe. Have a great day.

My best friend and her husband are doing all the cooking this year...the kids, dogs, and I are piling into the car and heading over there in a little bit. I did however just make an Angel Food Cake w/Merengue frosting, some cornbread, and my Gramma Birdie's scalloped corn to take over. I'm just grateful I don't have to cook a bird this year!

What is birdie's scalloped corn? Any thing like scalloped potato? I'm ok now, just by chance he called me today, my kid, I wish she would get done already, I put my 2 cents in by doing the mashed potato, sweet potato, filling, one vegetable, she made the bird, rice and pigion peas Spanish style, and patillilo's, their having their own kind of vegie's, oh and cranberry sauce. Went to Wegmans, no pumpkin pie, WAAAAAAAAAAAAA! LOL, I'll live. And so will my diabetes.

I am from LA and live in MA. All of my family live in LA and my son went with his Father, so I am alone. I had numerous offers to share Thanksgiving at friend's houses, but I like this day of relaxation. I did go see Scott and had a great visit, so that was nice. Other than that, I did no cooking at all unless you count heating a meal in the microwave...hehe! Hope everyone had a great day.

Mamabear...my Gramma Birdie was from Kansas, and she made the best scalloped corn, but never wrote down the recipe...after years of trying to figure it out, I finally duplicated it! It is very similar to scalloped potatoes, if you want the recipe, message me!

my best friend told me i had to go to her house today so we went she made the bird green bean cass. potato salad home made rolls pecan pie and then i made sweet potatos dressing asparagus cass. pumkin pie and a can of cranberry sauce im glad i went it made the day bearable and when i got home dennis called so the day was pretty good

I cooked everything but the mashed potatoes. My sweet hubby did that. We had the usual stuff minus the green bean casserole and sweet potatoes that I usually cook. No one else wanted them and every year I am the only one who eats them and then they get thrown away. I will make them in the next week or so just for me! Everything turned out great. I thought for sure I would screw something up since I am so distracted.
