It's really doubtful to me that they really want to get the big time dealers, there are connections between them sometimes. It looks better to catch a bunch of smaller time dealers that one big one. And I think those are saved for higher ups, and task forces. Can't step on each others toes.
My son went to prison for having a big amount of cocaine. BUT the cops only reported about half of what they confiscated. Now that was good for him, it got him less time, but someone took the rest. Hmmm who would that be?
A friend's son was a cop in LA. He was investigating something real hush hush. They later said they found him dead, that he had killed himself. Wouldn't of done that. Had just moved, had a good job, and loved his life. The thinking is, he found out who in the police department was doing something real illegal, and they killed him. There was no investigation. It was marked suicide and closed.
Another of my son's friends had a brother caught with a little bit of pot. He was coerced into helping them catch others. They wired him. They were supposed to be watching him, but he ended up dead, by himself, in a part of town he never went to. He was tied to a chair, and had needles in his arms with heroine. He supposedly took an overdose by himself, tied to a chair in an empty apartment. Funny thing was right before, he had called his gf on the way home asking what he should pick up for supper. Again, no investigation, marked suicide.
These kids don't realize what a dangerous game they are playing. Not just with the drug people, but cops too.
My son was IN, four years. I was worried he would be hounded by the cops, his every move. Seems they have forgotten about him, and moved on to others. I think that your son will be fine if he is in awhile.
Awhile ago my fiance had me look up this guy that had suddenly appeared in the prison. He told me where the guy was from, but they couldn't figure out why he was in there. So I looked on the Wisconsin site that tells what charges people have. I found nothing. Then I put his name in the computer, and it came up. He had been a circuit court judge in one of the counties here. He had no charges listed but mysteriously was in prison. In his farewell speech at his retirement party he said he wasn't exactly retiring, just pursuing other options.
I sent the info on this man, and poof, he mysteriously was taken out of that prison. We figured he was probably in there snooping on someone for a case, and when we noticed him, then they moved him out, quick.
