Hello all,

I'm new here. I just wanted to say hi and get a few things off my chest.

So, my husband was arrested a little over 2 months ago for aggravated robbery, felony menacing, and possession of a schedule 1 substance. There are a couple more charges but those are the ones that are going to stick.

The thing is, I guess he robbed the place to fund his drug habit that I didn't even know he had. I guess I'm just feeling really stupid for not realizing he had a problem and also I'm feeling scared about my future, his future, and our future together.

I'm now 5 months pregnant with no job, no money and a 2 year old from a previous relationship. I'm feeling angry because we were all relying on him to provide for us after he convinced me to quit my job, but at the same time I'm just really depressed and lonely.

I joined this group because someone told me it would be good to talk to people that can understand what I'm dealing with.

So sorry you're going through this, especially being pregnant. Your husband sounds a lot like my fiance as he's in for robbery to feed his habit which I had no idea as well, but we were doing the LDR thing so I was clueless until after the arrest.

Do you have family that can help you out? What about his family? If all else fails you can always go to your county social services division and apply for cash assistance, medical and food stamps. I know some people still frown upon this but you have to think about what's best for your babies and you. Also churches can help with things too. Take things one day at a time or you're going to get overwhelmed and that's not good for any of you. Don't lose hope; where there's a will there's a way! Hugs

Thanks for taking the time to talk to me. I'm sorry that you are going through this too.

My sister has moved in and is paying the bills while I job hunt, I really can't thank her enough.

Also, I applied for some help from the state. I guess I just have to wait and see. I don't have a whole lot of experience with this stuff though.

hello, first off Im so sorry that this is all happening to you, but Im glad you found this form and are always here to talk if you need anything. Right now you need to do your best to stay clam and make sure you are doing what is best for you, your kid and your unborn. Im glad to hear your sister is helping that is awesome and i hope you are able to find a job soon, and hopefully can get help from the state as well. Make sure you are putting yourself and your kids first and then focusing on the issue with your husband after that. I know its hard but its important that you and your kids are doing well. As far as your husband goes that is a really sad thing to find out exspically since he is now in jail because of it, but i hope this helps him turn his life around and hopefully he can get clean. You are in my thoughts and prayers<3
