Enjoy your visit :)
If you do wear something not allowed, they do have trailers from the group Friends on the Outside, they have donated clothes they will allow you to borrow in order to visit.
Yoga pants would be a definite no no since they are way too fitting.
We also can't wear white because it can be "see through", no v-necks,no shorts above the knee, no holes or rips in your jeans or pants even if it is tiny tiny, no tank tops EVEN under a jacket or something that you plan on wearing the entire time.
You should be able to look online at the CA doc website for rules and regulations. When in doubt, call the prison and ask!
Don't forget, there's also rules on what you can bring in and that varies too. Here, all purses must be clear and/or belongings carried in a clear plastic bag. I have a small clear little makeup bag I carry. I've seen people use a zip lock baggie.
We're also allowed only a certain amount of cash.
Only 1 key,off any key ring or chain.
Smoking isn't allowed anymore but when it was,you could only bring 1 unopened pack and 1 lighter.
No lip gloss,chapstick, gum,or mints.
And don't forget your ID!
good luck and have a wonderful visit!
The rules are arbitrary. Where my man is, the COs all have different rules, so it's tricky. I usually wear yoga pants and a plain t shirt, no jewelry.
