I just got back from a weekend visit with my husband, I went to see him with his sister and it just happened to be my birthday on Saturday. I always get so anxious before my visits and once I am there I calm down, this visit was no different. Saturday he surprised me with his new teeth. I know how funny that sounds but he had all his teeth pulled about 6 months ago and has been waiting for his dentures ever since, he got them the week before my visit but didn't tell me. He looked so handsome, I noticed them right away, his beautiful smile is back. We had such a nice day after our visit my sister in law took me out for dinner at Red Lobster., I'd have to say it's one of the best birthdays I've had in a long time. On Sunday during our visit his counselor came into the visiting room and called him aside and of course I thought the worst, but when I saw him come walking back over with a pink envelope I knew what it was and started to cry. My husband told his counselor it was my birthday and he let him give me my birthday card during our visit. That was the first birthday card he has been able to hand to me in 7 years. I went into the counselor's office and thanked him and told him how special he made my day, he looked at me and with a big smile just said your welcome. We had an awesome weekend and I had a special birthday, the only thing better would him coming home sooner. I miss him terribly but visits like this one do make it a little easier,
