I have an update on Abouttobegin/Glenda. I know that many of you would want to know her status. She has been convicted and found guilty of the following charges: manslaughter for fatally striking a teenage bicyclist while driving drunk, aggravated assault against a minor, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol-content of 0.08 percent or more and extreme DUI. She was found not guilty of leaving the scene of a collision. She could face up to 21 years in prison for manslaughter and up to 21 years for aggravated assault on a minor, and shorter terms for the other charges. She will remain in custody until sentencing which is scheduled for January 20th. It was said the jury deliberated less than 2 hours.
Please remember Glenda in your thoughts and prayers as she faces sentencing and the time she will serve. Pray for her family as she does have 2 children, and I know her ex-husband has made it clear he doesnt intend to make much effort in keeping the bond between her and her children intact. Pray that he can find some healing and reconsider. WE ALL know how important family is during this walk. Also, we should keep the other family that was affected by this sad tragedy in mind as well, that they are able to find some peace and healing.
Everything about this whole situation is just so darn sad. If/when I find out about the sentencing, I will post another update.

I am very sad for her and sincerely hope that her ex will reconsider for if nothing else the sake of his children. They need to be allowed to keep that bond with their mother. I am also incredibly sad for the family of the family of the victim and hope that they are able to come to terms and find peace eventually.
Drinking and driving can ruin so much in such a quick second and it is scary because sometimes it is so hard to tell that you are too messed up to drive until you are faced with a situation that demands quick reflexes.
