Is it just me, or is the judical system as bad as I think it is? My son is in jail for a probation violation, driving on a suspended license. He also missed a hearing that he wasn't even informed about. His PO hasn't been much help. I thought it was kind of up to him to keep my son informed about any court hearings. A warrant for his arrest was issued after not making the hearing. They hadn't even informed his lawyer about anything, and I know they have it on record that he has a lawyer. Now my son is in jail and I can only visit him once a week. That bites.

I agree they should not be able to put them in jail for a violation when nobody contacts the person needed to be there.
I do not know how they can penalize someone when no one informed him or his lawyer or his P.O.
To me that is a violation of his rights....but I hear this all the time....of ones missing a hearing that they have no idea it is even taking place.
The only thing I can suggest is to look up on the website for the county he lives in and maybe you can see it posted when a hearing is coming up........but like I said I have no other idea or even if a person can do this and keep informed before it leads to jail again.
The other part of your statement....yes this justice system is that messed up.
Surely wish it was not but it sure seems to be!
