wow, Im sorry to hear this. I would think they would have given you somewhat of a grace period. It was pretty ridiculose on there behalf to not let you slid with a warning about time. thats just crazy but at least you didnt get your visits taken away for 6 months. that would have hurt sooo much more. I'm sorry it happened to you.

I am always there 15-20 min early. Then you sit around another half hour after your appointment time for them to call you back. Then another 10-15 min waiting for him to come out to the visiting booth. One time, one freeking time.. I know he is freaking out, wondering what happened; did anyone get hurt, is his elderly mom in the hospital again? And no way to let him know except by snail mail which can be a week or more after I sent it.

Hoping the next day delivery I paid for today will be in his hands this week. And the sooner, the better.

Only five minutes? That's bizarre. What if you'd been in the ladies room? Ay!

I can't believe they make you schedule a time. There is nothing like this where my husband is. You just show up between certain hours on certain days. He only gets 4 visits a month with only 2 of those on the weekend though. I drive 2 hours one way to go and visit. If they turned me away I think I would freak out too! I get conflicting information everytime I go depending on who is there. Like you need to sign the book every time, but I have been twice before and have never even seen the book they are talking about. Other C.O.'s tell me he can have seven visits a month, then next time I go it is only four. Make up your mind people! I mentioned that it is always different and they didn't like that comment so I quickly said "hey, as long as I end up getting to see him"... Whew, that was close... LOL. Hope next time goes better for you.

Our county jail makes you schedule appointments in advance. Sometimes it's hard to get them. But I always did, and the lady working there was so nice, she wouldn't of done that. But this is a SMALL TOWN. They are usually nicer.
I really hate how prisons and jails are so adamant about their stupid rules, but boy you see those guards sitting around doing nothing, and sometimes you hear what really terrible things they do behind closed doors.
The lady at the visiting desk now is like a drill sergeant. She goes exactly by the rule book, while others are more laid back and human. I had 2 tiny rivets on the side of my skirt. They beeped. She knew what was triggering it, but wouldn't let me go see him without changing my clothes. I luckily had other clothes in the car, or I would have flipped out on her. These people are not human!!! My god, they should have to go through what we do to see our people.
I was walking out to the car to get my clothes, I NEVER BEEP.. there was 2 nice guards walking with me to their cars. I said, OMG I am SO glad this is almost over. I hate wisconsin prison's, I hate their stupid rules, I hate everything about everything involved with this system. I then apologized because they are always nice to me. They said " don't sweat it, we agree with you on alot of what you just said, but can't change the rules, but it depends on who is behind that desk how strict the rules are adhered to"
