I have fallen in love with the most wonderful man in the world. We come from two completely different spectrums; I am a divorced single mom of two and a professional and he is in prison. It wasn't supposed to happen but it did and I wouldn't change it for anything now. He was sentenced to life without parole as a juvenile and now has a chance at freedom due to laws changing in the last few years. He messed up as a teenager and has been in prison for over two decades. I never realized how hard it would be only being able to talk for short periods at a time and emailing when finances permit. My concern is his hearings; he has some coming up for his resentencing and he has concern over me going. He is 3 hours away from me and with my children being so young, I am not able to visit him as much as I would like. I respect his wishes but st the same time I want to be there for him. He doesn't want me going out of fear for my safety. There is always a "bad" person that shows up at these hearings and has made threats towards his friends and loved ones, it is a long story I am not going to go into. I want to be there for him and know myself what is going to happen. I am not ignorant when it comes to this sort of thing as I work in the legal field and met him by volunteering on his case. I just feel so blah because I do not want to over step and just show up but I do not want to just sit back bitting my nails anxiously awaiting the decision.
