Revocation hearing for probation violations

My finance has a revocation hearing on monday for probation violations. He has no new charges. He has a good lawyer that believes he has a good chance. But, I am so scared that I'm going to lose him. We've been together for the last 4 years and I've never had to face something like this before. I'm also so angry with him because I told him it was just a matter of time before he got in trouble for what he thought were minor violations that he would get a slap on the hand and ATR for. But, I guess they had enough of his minor violations and he's been sitting in the county jail the last 2 months waiting for Monday. I can't talk with my family or friends about this cuz they all think I should just leave him. Finding this site at this time when I'm feeling so lonely and scared is exactly what I needed.

I'm sorry you are going through this, but you found a great place with great supportive people. Hang in there, take it one day at a time and listen to the great folks here that are not only knowledgeable, but very supportive and compassionate.

just to let you know i am in the same boat mybf has his revocation hearing on the 13 or 14 this month so i am hoping all goes well and they let him out but not holding my breath cause not sure whats going to happen but i am always here for you

Just an idea......... but you might want to ck into getting a few letters together and using them at the revocation hearing....anytime there is a Judge or panel never hurts to have letters of recommending him for early release of the charges due to his good behavior or his progress towards being an asset to society.

If you do decide to do that use the how to write an effective clemency letter outline on the post I put up a few days ago just change the title to..........Letter Requesting Leniency for the Revocation Hearing of (Your guy's name and inmate #):

I am in the same situation, except it is my son. It was the first violation in 5 years and they threw the book at him- 20 years. I don't want to scare you- this was in Texas,so it is another country . We are in a state of shock and feel so horrible because we live in ny and it is very hard to visit him and his children. I will pray for you. The letters might be helpful.

OMG thats so extreme! I am so sorry that that happened to your family. Our revocation hearing went pretty well thou. Our lawyer said hes 90% sure we won but theres always that 10% that they could just be assholes. So we are praying and crossing our fingers. We should have a decision by January 25th or sooner. But either side can appeal so it still could be awhile b4 we know anything.
