Hi y'all, my girlfriend has just been transferred from the Ohio Reformatory for Women to the Pre-release Center in downtown Cleveland. I haven't talked to her yet, but does anyone know what this means? I assume she's had good behavior if she's there now. Her 80% release date is in January. Does going to the Pre-release Center mean she's getting out earlier than that or could she stay downtown until her actual release date in July?
I'm glad she's closer to where I live now, but she has anxiety about going to the PR center, a lot of inmates have told her horror stories about it. Is a PR center worse than prison? Will she have more opportunity to call me? Are the visits in-person or through glass? How is the medical care there?
Any help would be appreciated, I get a little anxious too when she gets moved around. We're two peas in a pod :)

Don't believe what other inmates say. It may not be true, or may not pertain to everyone, only the trouble makers. You always hear stories.. they may be just that.
Things go on all the time where my guy is, but he keeps his nose out of others business and mostly everything goes just fine. It's the loud mouth, tough guy type people that have problems, or the ones that look scared or weak.

Sorry I wish I could help. My daughter is in Marysville. After intake, they are usually sent to their "parent" prison. My daughter is on the waiting list for boot camp so she is still in Marysville. The Pre release center is a minimum security and I would assume it's her "parent" prison. Which would mean she would stay there till her release day.
