All of the energy and hope and good thoughts that went into the hearing room burst into nothing and you can't even believe it at first. You were so positive, so pumped, so ready, and then nothing. You almost can't breathe, it's so overwhelming. Try again next time? Why should you? This was the right time! You don't know if you can function right now, much less look forward to getting pumped up again. Oh, God, how can we make it until the next time?
Take some deep breaths, and then take some more. Okay. You're still alive. There's still hope. Yes, you've still got this separation to get through, and you've still got all the negative emotions and troubles to deal with, but - get this - you've got another chance to fight. It just isn't right now.
So step back and do what you need to do to heal the wounds in your heart and the hole in your soul. Let peace into your life again and give it room to grow.
If you live year-to-year it will be five years of despair. Hope for the best and plan for the worst.
I'll keep you in my prayers today.
