My son is in federal prison on. Drug charge. It's soooo hard
This is a pretty old post now and the OP is no longer on hear by the lools of it.
What I feel is as I said is a lot of anger, a lot. I am upset that my son who is highly educated, has 2 wonderful sons would throw it all away for a craving. Not only that but ruin or damage other children's lives. How in the world would he feel if someone did that to his children or a family member? also I am so very mournful that I will never have the family relationship with him again. I will not be visiting him in his home, going on vacation or just doing fun family things with him again. He will never be able to attend various gathering for his children, attend weddings or hold his grandchildren again. The family will never get talk to him or seem unless it is from behind bars. I still get very teary and upset because of all these reasons. On top of that I have not shared this with some family and friends that do not live close, I just do not know what to say or how to explain it!! I still have a sense of guilt because I was a single mom and feel like I failed even though heh is 49yrs old. I know I know they grow up and choose their own roads. I still am so horribly remorseful!!
By the way you haven't and are not failure! Your son choose to do what he did not you. But hey once a mum always a mum.
