my sweet sweet man has been gone for 1 week now. It feels like it's been a month without him. How am I supposed to make it 4&1/2 years.

I know it hurts but you really do need to look forward looking backwards wont do you any good. You can do this keeping busy will help you and writing to him might help you a bit too....right its one day at a time or even a second at a time....just remember they cant stop time!!

My son has also been gone one week. Somehow I have survived it. And, so has he! He has called me a few times and that really helps. I have sent cards and letters (I know, probably should not send too many!). I think writing them helps me...I hope they help him too. I have sent in paper work to be cleared to visit. I don't know how long that will take.
The advice I can give is to pray, pray, pray. I start every day reading scripture and inspirational devotionals. I end my day the same way. I think faith is the only thing that can get us through.

Theres no such thing as writing to much! Letters are gold don't ever think your writing to much!

Aww man sorry to hear that...yea I feel you wat I do is stay focused on my goals do new things....an jus keep the communication open with him..good or bad....good luck an I m here for you.
