Im going out of my comfort zone! Im dealing with my hub on house-arrest! The public defender doesnt act like his on our side! I feel like "This is not my life!" Praying constantly for a good outcome and peace while playing the waiting game! Any encouragement would be most appreciated!

That's not good. I know how you feel though. Mine is incarcerated. You might want to look for a lawyer. That's what I have to do. We struggle but its the only way to get him home. Good luck to you.

Hey welcome I would be pushing you pd to do the work or look at a lawyer for the case.
The waiting game is the worst part of this but we can help you to get though it hang in there.

I agree with SuchAs. My Hub PD wouldn't do anything for his case, and I begged him to request new council. Now he wishes he did. But at least your hub is on house arrest, where we didn't have that option.

Start calling around to see if you can find an attorney that has handled his type of case with success and is affordable for you. Otherwise, request new council. And keep asking for new council if they aren't working for him.

the problem with PD's is that they get paid the same, win or lose...they don't care. every day, we regret that we couldn't afford a real attorney for my fianc. look for someone else!

Thanks for all replies! The pd turned over my hubs case to another pd due to overload of cases i guess!?? If this pd doesnt act like she wants to help...will have to hire an attorny though it maybe rough with not alot of $ to work with! oh, the court moved court day in settling the case before they switched pds! No reason....just movef it 2 months more to wait!! :'(
