this is my first post,

I am still in the begining of everything but it already seems like it has been forever. The not knowing and being patient is the worst, I am trying to get through day by day. My boyfriend has been in jail 3.5 months and even though the lawyer has the discovery he hasnt finished looking at it and gone to see him. And it wont be until after he sees him that I will meet with the lawyer to find out what the evidence and the plan is moving forward. It sucks because he is on parole he cannot be bailed out. How private is this group/website? Will and DA or anything like that be able to use or find these written posts? I kind of doubt it but I am very paranoid because I have never been involved with the justice system personally. The current charge is vehicular homicide, very serious charge but am afraid to say anything else about it because I dont want to f$%k anything up for him.

Any advice would help, and just the support to know others are going through the same stuff is helpful.

Im glad you found this group, this process is so hard and i completely understand what you are saying. Its good that you are trying to take things day by day its the best we can do. Im like you not knowing how much time my boyfriend will get and with a complicated case it can be stressful. But you have to try your best to not let your mind go to those dark places. Everyone has told me hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Its hard i have been waiting for 5 months, and trail is 2 and half more months away. So I'm learning to try my best and just not think about the future until i know whats happening, once i know i can plan accordingly but until then i try and keep busy with work and school. write when you miss him, or just feel like you need to get something out. you can never write to much and don't always have to send it. As far as this group goes i doubt that a DA is gonna be able to find anything but i think most of us choice to keep the details private, or don't post them you can alway private message me if you need to talk. Im always here to talk and listen if you need anything! just try and remember to relax and take care of yourself! thoughts and prayers to you <3

Hey welcome.
Ok i start with this group yes it is a good group yes we do our best to support each other. BUT please remember that our posts can show up in a goggle so dont give to much information about the case, dont use his name (boyfriend, other hafe, my man or like i did just a letter from his name) other people have been know to find this information and use it against our guys......yes this has happened to one person! So try not to talk about where he is and dont post about his charges saying his on parole or is doing a set amount of time is fine and talking about the headaches that the prisons give us and him is fine.........if you want to talk to us about some private stuff you can message any of us or do a private journal you can set them for friends only or just for you to see. This is a public site but in your journal you can have a bit of privacy and i can say if anyone tells me anything in a message i will not talk to anyone else about it.

Thank you both for your responses. It makes me feel a little better to know there are people out there going through the same thing. I have really good friends and family but no one I know personally has been in this situation. I am glad I found this group and thanks for the tip about google etc. nowadays you never know what or who can get into your stuff. Thanks again, have a good weekend !!
