So my brother got his new release date, November 14,2013. He was scheduled for November 25,2013, only 11 extra days, but that is better than no extra days!!!
I am wondering if any of you know anything about the halfway house in Minneapolis, MN?? He will go there for no more than 2 weeks as long has he has a job. He wants to know what to expect going there. I have heard many horror stories regarding halfway houses, but for no more than 2 weeks I can't believe it will be that bad. I know he said he can wear regular clothes and order take out, which he is the most excited about.
If anyone knows someone he was in that halfway house and can help me out with info, I would appreciate it. I guess it is called Volunteers of America of Lake St

Hi Stacy! Wow I didn't know he got out in Nov. That's great. Don't know about that particular halfway house. My son was in one that is close to the Guthrie. It was an old mansion. A bunch of guys in it. They had to be in by certain times, such as an hour after they got off work. Didn't really do anything else in them. Just slept there. They could have their car, but had to give them their keys after work, until morning when they left for work. Had to stay there on weekends, could have visitors. Eventually he got weekends out for a few hours, then an overnight, but your brother won't be in 3 months like my son was.

I bet you are excited. Are you coming to see him when he is out?

That's awesome sorry I can't help with the hafe way house stuff we don't really have them down hear.

Wisconsin, thanks for the info. I can't remember where the Guthrie is, was it in St Paul??
I told him I would like to come see him when he gets to house arrest, and he said that's fine, but he is surprised I would come to MN in the winter.LOL To go see him is the only reason I would deal with that weather!! If I come up there, I will let you know, since I would go right past your exit off of 94.
