Families of Prisoners Support Group
This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. Join the group to find others who know what you're going through, and to seek advice or share your experience.
If you are in a large city, there may be a "homeless shelter" where he can stay and work and get his own room. They basically work off the rent doing maintenance,cleaning, etc around the place and get a private bedroom.
Call your local social service office they may also know. Since he was in for drugs, I am assuming he is an addict, you could check and see if you could get him into a program that would be paid by the state, that would give him a place to stay and the support he is probably gonna need. He could than be helped getting into a sober living room or apt
