I chose to stand by him as I love him dearly, I did however ask him to leave home at one point as I couldn't take the pressure of 24 hours a day everyday with him. We have children so he could never be alone with them, it put too much strain on me. I had to be selfish for once.
He's serving his sentence, albeit short, in protective custody due to it beings crime against children and his mental health is failing. He is safe. He keeps his head down, talks to no one except his cell mate and the guards when he needs to.
Its not easy being the wife of a SO but nothing that is worth it ever comes easily.
As fair as your hubby case i hope you have a good lawyer and that the counseling stuff can be used when his in court (well it should be anyway) something for you to talk to the lawyer about. It is good that his remorseful about it. As for prison well everyone does it a bit different some people make up cover storys but that can get blown up if they have to do a program in prison his best bet would most likely be to work out who he can and can't trust (its like high school ) keep his head down, don't get into debt with anyone in there or get into the gambling that can go on, most importantly do not drop anyone in it!! Oh and dont brag about how much stuff his getting in there. He should be ok there are lots of guys who now do time for the same sort of stuff believe it or not there's not many raps in prison i only hard of one in 4 years so please don't worry about that most sex that happens in prison is consented to (yes it happens ) so the whole rap thing don't worry about it. Prison is nothing like what you see on tv! Its mostly boring especially if they don't have a job in there.
Keep talking to us we really do get it. Hang in there!
