Hi, my name is Linda and yesterday my husband was sentenced to 9 months. He was charged with non payment of child support he has 2 other children from a previous marriage they are 19 and 20 years old. He fell behind after loosing his job of 20 years. Our 4 year old daughter is not dealing well at all and I am a nervous wreck. The anxiety of everything is over taking me and I am trying not to show it in front of my daughter. I don't want her to see mama upset. Any advice would be great.
Yes i agree with the above your little one is picking up on what your feeling i know its easy to say but calming down might help a bit.
Ok call the prison that his in to find out about calls and visit and putting money on for him it be a bit easier once you talk to him and can see him in the meantime start writing to him and let your little one write a bit too.
Oh i dont mean to sound bitchy but do do do talk to the prison and find out if she can send the pictures in.....some places are really really strict about this stuff so please talk to them!! I know one lady who had all her kids pictures sent back because they didn't like the pens that where used. So do check!
Like the others have said try to stay as calm as possible because kids feel/sense everything! Just think at least he'll be home for the holidays, so look at it that way!
