Yesterday we buried my Mom, she passed on her 84th birthday just as the sun was coming up, I was with her and so was my sister. I was lying in bed with her and told her it was ok she didn't need to fight anymore , I knew my Dad was waiting for her with open arms, I swear I heard her take her last breath. These past few days have been very hard for my bother's and sister's and myself, I am the oldest of seven and am trying really hard to keep it together for them.
I am really worried about my husband though he was very close to my Mom, he was always her favorite. I called the Chaplin at the prison and asked if he would be there when I told my husband because I was afraid for his health, he took the news really hard, he was always telling my Mom to hold on he'd be home soon and she'd say I'm trying but I don't know if I'll make it, we all always told her to stop saying that she's be around for a long time but I know she was tired of fighting and just needed to rest.
We have one friend who has been by my side for anything I've needed for the past 8 1/2 years and I asked him if he would go be with my husband this weekend, I just wasn't comfortable with him being alone, he put all his commitments aside and drove the 6 hour drive to be with my husband which gave me so much comfort. I am going to try and get up to see him in the next few weeks, I am so grateful for having our friend Steve, he put my mind at ease for a little while just knowing he was with my husband and he wasn't alone.
Please keep us in your prayers, I know the next few days are going to be really hard and my family will need a lot of support.

Sad your husband has to hear it in there. Mine got bad news like that 3 times while in prison. It is really hard on them. They can't show their emotions much.
I am glad you both have Steve. What a wonderful friend he is, to you, and to drive 6 hours to see your husband.
My prayers are with you my friend... I know it's hard to stay strong with everything going on. Just lean on anyone who is supportive. Don't always have to be strong for others. Let them help you too.

I am so sorry, I have no words to comfort you, just know that she is now young, happy, pain free, can run, jump, and watch over all of you as an angel.
