Today is an exceptionally hard day for me, I haven't mentioned thid before because I think I just wanted to block it from my mind but I can't any longer. 6 years ago just after my husband went to prison my son took a job as a new loan officer working for a friend who had just opened a mortgage company. I was so proud of him he was stepping up and trying to take care of all of us after his father left. He seemed to be doing well and making good money too, well you know what they say if it sounds to good to be true it is well it was. One day while he was working his boss asked him to sign some loan doc's and being asked by the boss he did, he got payed for the loan and thought nothing of it. When the economy fell apart so did the mortgage co. and my son lost his job.We went on with life and then last year my son was arrested for mortgage fraud, can you believe it!! His friend had been doing this all along, when my son got arrested it as 6:30 in the morning and they came with guns blazing you might have thought it was something from the movies. To get to the point today he goes for his sentencing today. Everybody involved in the Company got arrested even the Lawyer, he is doing 9 months. I am terrified, my son has just 1 charge and should get probation but we all know how that goes. He's never been in trouble before so I am hoping the judge has some kind of mercy on him. Please keep him in your thoughts today and say a prayer for him, I'd would really appreciate all they prayers we can get. I will let you all know how he makes out.

Oh hon, I am so, so sorry you have this to worry about on top of everything else. I am praying that the Judge has mercy on your son. He was just a pawn as so many others were in this mess. The ones who need to be held accountable don't even get their hands slapped but the ones at the bottom take all the hits. Please let us know what happens! Praying for you and your son.

Hello,miss Pat,I have had a lot of run in's with the law.when I was young , I couldn't turn around without catching a bit and going to the joint.I have a lot of experience with the law.Now days there are so many people in prison that they are trying to give people free get out of jail cards.Your Son isn't going to jail.It's his first time and from what said,He was hustled into signing a paper that his boss should of been signing in the first place.I have been saved since 1998 and I've got pretty good connects with Jesus since then.I will surely pray for your son,just in case I'm wrong in what I said.I am almost 99.99% sure tho' that he'll be home before the Judge will be home.O.K. ?so, don't you even worry about it.I'm sure that I'm not the only one praying and God isn't gong to let one of His children go through anything that he shouldn't and Your son doesn't sound guilty . Thank you all for you kind words, I just got the news, he got 3 months and then probation. I know this doesn't sound like much but when both your husband and your son are in prison at the same time it's devastating. I just can't believe it, I can't stop crying. I feel lost and I'm so worried about my grandaughters. I know I have to be strong but this is going to be so hard. At least he has until Febuary to self surrender, we can try and figure things out by then.

Iam so sorry that it went that way pat. Try and take a little time for you right now and then make the time before he gos in as special as possible.

I am so sorry to hear about this. It is so sad about people use others and end up getting everyone hurt and in trouble. I hope that everything goes well for your son.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayer. I'm still numb, it hasn't really sunk in yet. He has to self surrender in Febuary which will give us some time to figure things out. I just feel like this is a nightmare right now, I wish I could wake up and this all be a mistake, If only!!

Just keep your head up and stay strong for yourself as well as your husband and son. I'm sure they need you to lean on, you will make it through is and your in our prayers.

Thanks again for all your support you don't know hw much it means to me. I haven't told anyone about my so yet, I think I need to digest it myself first. Just feeling kind of numb today, I have so much ratteling around in my head right now, my brain feels like scrambled eggs.

I just read this post, and it is just crazy. First that he even was the one held responsible. We know that at a job, we take orders from a boss. Second, how the cops came so early in the morning, like they were hunting a killer. That is totally ridiculous and awful. I am so sorry.

I hope that it all turns out ok. I know it doesn't seem like it now. Is there any chance for an appeal, or would that make it worse?

No chance for a appeal he took a plea, he was looking at more time if he didn't. You should have seen when they came to arrest him, FBI, DEA, and local police, they threw him on the floor like he was going to run or something. Thank God my grandkids were at a sleepover and they were'nt home, rifles put and everything. I still have nightmares. It was all so dramatic. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.
