hey guys! Sooo I'm not sure how to feel or what to say about my situation but my boyfriend has been in jail for about a month now. Words CANNOT even describe how much I miss him! We have been bestfriends since I was 14 and he was 16. I'm 22 going on 23 now and he will be 25 in a week. We used to spend time together everyday and I just miss his company so much. We are pretty much inseparable. I'm very close to his family which is a good thing but on the other hand it's nothing like him being here by my side. I love when he calls me and I write him all the time but when night time comes, when I'm alone I get really sad and feel depressed. I know he misses me just as much and we have true love. He'd do anything for me and vice versa. I just feel so lost and I'm pretending that I'm happy and okay but I'm really not. I try to keep busy and laugh more each day but that can't fix the fact that he's gone. I just need some advice!

Hi ya nights are hard the only thing that really helped me was wareing on of his tops and boxers to bed oh and hen he would call me at night.
talk to us we dont judge and this site can help ive been here well it feels like forever and did 4 years with my man inside i hope i can help you.

I truly understand your feelings. I miss my man soooo much. I try very hard to stay strong but he has seven years left and I dont know how I am going to do it. He is my one true love. When we talk everything seems fine but the minute we hang up its back to reality that he is not here. Nighttime is the worst!

@Lioness45: I understand how you feel trust me! I know some days may be harder than others and my boyfriend is really my true love too. It's hard but right now I know that nothing that I do can bring him home, except but to pray. We have to try to be really strong and know that this is just temporary and that they are still alive. Good thing we are able to talk to them when we can and write letters. How long has he been gone? Mines has been gone only a month and I won't know how much time he has to do all the way until October. That's killing me because Im playing the waiting game. I just hope that it doesn't be a long time. Yes night time is the worst! I hate situations like this happen.

We did 4 years and are now dealing with parole only 4 months to go.......iam telling you guys this because it is doable its not a lot of fun but its doable......the worst bit is the not knowing.

@Suchaslife: Okay congrats on that! Im happy that the time is going by for you. You stood by him and was there for him and that's really good! My boyfriend is scared that I might find someone else if he is gone for a while and I told him that I would never ind someone else bc he is seriously the only man that I want! I couldn't see myself being with anyone else but him. Did this support group help you along the way?

This group got me through some hard times.......we do even have a laugh at times. A lot people who have been here for ages are having trouble getting back on theres normally more people around here.
just give him time and keep telling him that your not going anywhere yes there will be hard times but we will help you through it.

@Suchaslife: Okay that's good! I am glad that I found this support group honestly bc it's always good to talk to ppl that's in the same situations. Thank you soooo much! I keep thinking about how much time he is going to get. I hate not having closure on this but at least I know that he won't be gone for long and that when he comes out we can move on with our lives

Not knowing how much time your facing is hard and one of the worst parts of it.
try not to think of how long....we never counted the days just our visits....i could only see my man once a month with 4 hour drive both ways. So we just counted our visits.
yes once this is done you guys can move on and do what you want.

im 17days into to it and like you we were UN separable we did everything together night is still the worst I didn't even sleep in our bed until IV decided last week I have my son sleep with Me that helped me alot but u prob don't have children . I also got a dog last week it sleeping with me now and I find that it occupies some time so I don't have time to think I would love to say gets easier but it not for me at this point I hope it does cause this feeling of tremendous loss is unbrarable at times this sight and strong prison wives have been so helpful... We are strong and we got this keep you in my. prayers

Its not so much that gets easier its more of a case this becomes a new icky sort of normal. Take time..its like someone has passed away at the start of this you feel the same things.
