I know some prisons are pretty scary places to us, but from what my fiance and son have said, they aren't as bad, for the most part as you see on tv. Sure there are problems sometimes, but its who you hang out with and how you handle yourself.
What's the reputation of this place??? Do you ever hear bad things on the news about it? Or from others? If you haven't, then probably it will be just fine.
You as his mom also can tell by his voice if he is covering up or telling you the truth, how things are there.
Ready for it to be over??? Oh tell me about it. My son and fiance rotate constantly. One in, one out, one in, one out. My son's been out 2 years now, but I am still hearing he is up to some illegal things, and my fiance is just getting out, but will that last??
We love them regardless what they do, but we go crazy, and broke from it too.
The sick part about them saying he got in a fight because his hands were messed up is that when they go in, or first get arrested, they get pictures taken of any scars, or whatever that they have. It is documented. He could tell them til he turned blue to look at his records, and they probably won't.
He might be right that the guys are more low key in those type of places. They learn to adapt and live as comfortably as possible while in for a longer time. Only a few idiots create problems from what I hear.
