Aww the waiting is definitely the hardest part! My guy was sentenced but is still fighting for his appeal because his case wasn't handled correctly. It's definitely going to be a rollercoaster ride! I agree with suchaslife. xx

I definitely understand your frustration with the waiting game and you're going to feel all those feelings, quite a lot to be honest. I wouldn't necessarily say it's like a break up since the break up you know the relationship is done and over with, you know there's nothing more to think about so eventually you move on to someone else ; but in this situation you know there's something still there, for the future. My guy has to do at least 10 years, why in a weird way? lol

Its just a struggle atm, until i know whats what, what would your advice be? Its more like a death then a brake up. Write to him as much as you can and talk to him as much as you can.....try and look at as chance to get to know him on a whole different level to what you would from just dating.

Yes, yes, write, write lol! Trust us about the writing part because he really needs to feel you're still there for him. I love suchaslife because she made me see that by writing you do get to really, really know him inside and out! It may take some time and don't force him to open up til he's ready. That happened with my guy he told me everything except for the one thing as to why he's in now and that's he's an addict and went through losing his parents within 6 months of each other, I was actually on the phone with him when his dad passed , so after all that he just didn't know how to get through all the pain. He did some mucked up stuff to get high and got caught. No he definitely has to do 10, the original sentence was 14-29, but like I said they mucked up at the trial so he's appealing it so that in 10 he'll be done.

Yeah i totally agree i do feel like im grieving its so weird all these emotions that you run through. My mum said picture the situation as if hes on holiday for a bit i know shes trying to help but she hasnt been through it so she dont get it. Shes great isnt she, shes made me feel really welcome. I hope he doesnt get that long. And you get an appeal. Dangerous driving without a license and insurance x

Well at least you have your mom in your corner for support. Hmmm I don't think your guy will get as long as ours since those are just traffic violations, unless he hurt/killed somebody. Or having a lot of DUI's or DWI's. But who knows this system sucks!!!

Yeah i guess but she dont get how i feel or fully understand, no he didnt kill anyone or hurt anyone. Whats a dui or a dwi? Amen its such a shit system people are getting longer for selling weed than a murderer or a rapist

Can't help ya there sorry. You're just going to have to wait and hope for the best. If he's not a repeat offender for anything it shouldn't be too bad, but you gotta wait it out.
