This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. He calls me pretty regularly and I keep his phone account funded so he can call me or his brothers and sisters any time. But I just miss his presence and being able to give him a hug. The trial keeps getting pushed out. I know that's how it goes and it might be awhile yet. Part of me dreads the trial actually coming because the outcome could be him spending pretty much the rest of his life incarcerated. But I also just want it to be over so we all know. It's a long road with no end in sight. I miss my boy.
I know its not easy and I can feel your pain because you sound just like my mother. I actually thought you were her at first because I could feel the love you have for your son and the pain you feel as you miss him. I am still trying to figure out how to go day by day myself and the only advice I can give you is not to give up. That probably doesn't help much but just take your day one moment at a time and realize that moving forward is the only option but it is the hardest.
@Lmom iam sorry your started to hang out with his old friends i hope that he doesn't have to do much time if any! I would be pissed off to. Keep talking to him.
@heismine do keep writing and taking his calls......i cant tell you how important those calls and letters are to them and us....yes his still alive just remember they cant stop time!!
