Hi Yvonda, I don't have such experience because I am in a different country to my loved one in jail, so cannot visit or speak to him, but I wanted to say I'm sorry that you have been unable to visit or speak to your man as much as you would like. I'm sorry you haven't been able to talk to your husband. It must be really hard! :(
My sweetie is still in county but we're looking at the possibility of two ten minute phone calls a month when he gets shipped out in June/July. And he'll only be allowed two visits a month, too, which I may not be able to make at all because of my work schedule. I am dreading what it will be like when he leaves county. I'll hardly get to talk to him at all. My only consolation will be that it might be a short sentence.

when B gets locked down he isnt allowed phone calls but they try and let his pod out atleast an hour a day there is 30 men in his pod and as long as it isnt his pod thats in trouble they are ok! when i went on my visit there was a hole up because they were all in lockdown i dont know what took so long but we still got our visits! i cant imagine how hard it is! sending strength!

My boyfriend was incarcerated yesterday. He's going to be in jail for 3 months before his sentencing. All i can think right now is how much i need him and want to see him. I still don't know his booking number or his visiting time. But I am in this with you. I feel your pain and you can talk to me to help each other out through this. I was losing my mind not knowing what to do but i found this blog and is giving me hope in finding ways to cope with this.

When mine was on lock down, yes I missed him terribly, hated it. But if I actually found out there was reason for him not being able to call, I learned to calm down. It was when I didn't know why he wasn't calling that I went nuts. I always was waiting for his call to finally come through, but I learned to keep very busy to get through those days or hours. At first, I was very angry that they could lock everyone down for the mistakes a few people made to cause it. I hated it. It isn't fair, but prison is not fair. To me when a few men cause problems and the whole population in there gets punished, it is stupid and wrong. In the real world that isn't what happens, and how does this teach them anything but more hostility. Prison causes more anger and depression than anything.

Yvonda, I am sorry that you haven't been able to talk with your husband. In the beginning of our journey, I thought I would lose my mind when I was not able to talk to my husband during the transition period. Luckily, for me, we have not encountered a lock down situation yet and I hope for my sake we don't.

Thank you ihatewisconsin and lwayne. These back-to-back ones are terrible! It has never been this bad! I got a letter from him yesterday and he seemed so crabby. I'm hoping this last one doesn't last very long!
