Yes I still cry at the most oddest things and I've been doing this for a bit now. When you guys get into a bit of a routine with calls and vitsits and writing it gets a bit easyer its the bit in between all that wich is hard and the not knowing is the worst as well.
Hang in there it will be ok.
Hugs me.
SuchAs is right about finding a doctor you can talk to. Some doctors don't have time, but some will make time. You may be directed to a counseling service - if so, take it and find someone you can tell your story to. (My counselor also has clients who are ex-offenders, so she knows about some of the things that make me upset.)
Another thing that's a really big help - even if you can't see it right now - is finding something that's beyond you to be a part of, whether it's a volunteer opportunity or a church group or something that benefits your community. When you're busy taking care of other folks, you're in a different zone - a place where you can leave your troubles behind.
Missing him doesn't ever go away, but your response to his absence can be changed, and you can learn to live for the future and make plans for the time that you will be together again.
Not knowing is the worst part of all this.
Hang in there.....at least you got the washing done that's a good start.
I was only approved for 30 days, but that was enough that I was medicated and was able to start functioning again. Still wasn't fully ready to be back, and my boss could tell, so he gave me some slack.
This a traumatic event and if you can't hold it together, then you need to get help. You need anti- depressants and you need to start seeing a councilor. Both will help you during this period. I'm 16 months into it, and still have ocassional crying episodes, but not as much as in the beginning, and able to hold it together at work.
